Holy Rezday Birthday

My Rezday and Birthday are only 5 days apart, that makes both doubly special for me.  So, guess what?  My wonderfully awesome friends, Vi, TacehT, and Johnny, all decided to throw me a Rezday Birthday party at my house.  The only problem was that they forgot to actually invite me!  Some friends they are, huh?  *shakes head*  So instead of getting to party on my special day, I got to do a major clean up!  This was my first look at my house the next morning; you can see me in the doorway.  No *coughs*, no, I'm not doing the walk of shame in the same clothes I had on the night before.  Oh, alright, I am, but I still look hot.  *winks*  And you can see two of the little munchkin culprits in the photo also; Vi and T turned themselves tiny sized to try and freak me out, and it worked!  *shudders*

Can you believe the mess they made!?  As Alex would say, it looks like a hurricane localized inside my house!  I told them I wasn't cleaning up their mess, but they were still drinking and just laughed at me.  At least they saved me a beer.  My house was wrecked; trash everywhere, furniture turned over and even outside in the water, pictures on the floor, a blow up doll on the couch (REALLY?), they knocked a wall down for goodness sake, and you don't even want to know what got left on top of that cake!  It must have been one heck of a party.  Too bad I couldn't BE there.

I almost cried when I saw my lovely little reading nook.  Noooooooo, not my noooooooooook!  But then I took a sip of warm beer and started contemplating my revenge.  T and Johnny are lucky, their Rezday's were before mine, but Vi's is coming up real soon and she was the party planner anyway.  *rubs hands together*

You all should help me think of something good to get her back.  Especially since I almost couldn't write this blog entry because someone, I wonder who *gives Vi the evil eye*, spilled beer in my lap top.  I got most of it out and cleaned up, but my V key keeps sticking, or maybe that is just this weird new twitch I've developed when thinking of my revenge.  Don't be shy, share your ideas!

Poor little Fluffy will appreciate your ideas also.  Little guy got so scared seeing all the weird things at the party, like condoms drying on the wall to be reused (YUCK), that he had to hide on the ceiling fan!  From what I can tell, it seemed to be the only safe place left at my little oasis.  *sighs*  It took quite a bit of coaxing, but I finally got him to come down...now I just need to get him to stop shaking.  Anyone know a good dog therapist?

At least the fireworks were pretty awesome.  Except that T, in her drunken stupor, was standing on the wrong side when she lit the bottle rockets and one went right down her shirt!  She will have to patent that crazy little dance she did when she gets out of the hospital!  *laughs*

In other news, for my birthday I got to go to Disney World with my family...Woot! We hit Hollywood Studios, Magic Kingdom, and Animal Kingdom.  It was a blast, and here are a few pics for you.  I got to see fireworks there also.

I thought I would do Strawberry Singhs 20 Personal SL Questions Meme, so here it goes!

1. When and how did you discover Second Life? – I discovered it in August 2008 through a talk with my brother. He actually told me about a friend of his that had tried out SL and got raped by a horse (LOL!). I thought it sounded so weird and just had to check it out, cuz it sounded so impossible to me.
2. Did you know about virtual worlds before or was this your first experience with them? – I had heard about them before, but never been in one.
3. Has Second Life met your expectations? –I didn't really have any expectations, and from what my brother told me, I never thought I would stay in SL at all. I mean, people randomly raped by horses? Sounds horrible, doesn't it?
4. If you could teleport back to the first ten minutes of your avatar’s slife, what would you tell yourself? –Don't get into vampire stuff, it's just a bunch of drama.
5. How long did it take you to master avatar flying and driving vehicles inworld? –Probably took a while.. Still havn't mastered vehicles though, I never use them.
6. Do you have a mystery alt? – A few, but I never use them!
7. Is your SL avatar a reflection of you, or someone you wished you could be? – Well, she somewhat have similar taste as the real life me, I often have brown eyes in SL, as I do in RL. Same with piercings. But other than that, no not really, I just try to make my avatar as pretty as possible with the newest stuff on the grid.
8. Is there an individual you met in SL that inspired you in your RL? How? – I would like to say yes, but I can't think of how someone inspired me in RL. I have met alot of wonderful friends though, and I am incredibly thankful for that.
9. Do you feel it is easier to create stronger bonds/relationships with people you meet inworld as opposed to the real world? –Yes, I do! And the only reason is that there is a log out button that I can press if I want to be alone, I really want that feature in RL.
10. Did you ever imagine or believe people could fall in love with someone they never met before Second Life? –Yes, it has happen to me through other internet media before Second Life, so I knew it was very possible!
11. How has your perspective of dating changed (or not) since you started playing second life? – I don't think it has changed at all, other than that I am more careful with who I let into my life and not. Somehow it seems easier for people to hurt you online than in RL. Never forget there's a real person behind the screen, people!
12. How has your perspective of employment changed (or not) since you started playing second life? –Not changed at all, I think.
13. Name three things in both your lives that overlap each other significantly. –Well.. This is a hard one. Friendships with people overlap significantly aswell as creativity and I try (at times) to make a living out of SL.
14. If you could live your life more immersively in a virtual world, would you? (Kind of like the Matrix) – Hmm.. Possibly, yes!
15. How do you think behavior changes for people if they’re inworld vs in real world? Why do you think that is? – I think for some people it does indeed. It's easier to play a character or just to show your positive sides inworld. But most of the time I have seen this is when men try to act like a casanova to get alot of women.
16. How has second life consumerism changed your perception of spending habits, the value of money, the need to be “bleeding edge” with fashion? –I wish it had! Haha. I spend way more in SL than in RL though, I am quite careful shopping in RL, but not in SL. I really need to try more demos before spending in SL.
17. Do you think virtual worlds like SL drive and redefine human interaction or do they narrow and limit it? –I think it drive and redefine human interactions. Inworld you meet people from all over the world and learn alot of new things, interact with people you perhaps never would speak to in RL.
18. If technology progressed tomorrow to allow you to send emotions to people the way you’d send text or voice messages, would it enrich your SL experience or infringe on it? – I think it would enrich it alot! It would be alot easier to read into someone if it was possible.
19. Name three skills you attribute to having learned or honed in second life alone. – How to manage a business, I have learned alot more photoshop skills.. I cant think of the third, DOH!
20. If your grand kids googled your Second Life Avatar’s name, would they be intrigued, disgusted, proud or something else? – Oh dear lord. I hope that will never happen and that it's long gone before I get grand kids! But I do think (or hope!) they would appreciate the beauty in my pictures.

Slink Emma + ItGirls

Hi guys!
It's Saturday and I am suuuper bored, so why not play around a bit with pictures, right?
Also, it's Kaylas RL-birthday (Happy goddamn birthday darling!) and she's going to Disney World, I am sooo jealous and wants to go with her!

Anyway, so I have this huge thing for mesh heads, so I thought I would try out Slink's Emma Mesh Head, since it's the one I prefer of the two Slink has released so far.

I have been a bit on the fence about this head, because I think it looks a bit odd with the original skin, but with this skin from ItGirls it looks soooo damn awesome!

I wish my TheMeshProject head had the emotes Slinks does, cuz they are just simply awesome! Especially the emote I have in the picture above, LOVE IT!

The body is a mesh body (Yes, I am ALL mesh these days!) is from WowMeh and is fantastic, and I am wearing the Glam Affair skin on the body. I love Glam Affairs body, but  they charge a bit too much for the appliers for the WowMeh body. I think L$429 is a bit steep for a single applier, but the body is so gorgeous I guess I am willing to pay it.

Wet Lion

I fell inlove with this set from Alchemy, which I was getting Kayla for her birthday! And since I tried getting her a set, I got serveral other complete sets aswell (lol!). If anyone wants a set of the armor (not headpiece) please hit me up in world!

I feel a bit rusty in making pictures, so thought I'd challenge myself taking a picture inworld (at a nature sim), and making a little .gif aswell. I'm pretty satisfied with these pictures, but not completely! Photo was taken at Paradiso.

Candle Light

A bit of a romantic mood today, so I thought candlelight and rose petals would suit this post very well! (And just FYI, my pictures are best viewed big, so click them for a better look! :D)
I also looove these underwear, and they came with the newest update of the WowMeh mesh body, and let me tell you, THIS IS THE BEST THING EVER!
I didn't have to photoshop out rough edges and other crap for it to look smooth, and that is so awesome!
I am really hoping more designers will add clothing appliers for this body, because it's so gorgeous, just look at the pictures!

Hi Everyone *waves*,

  I'm Kayla Bombastic and I will be joining my amazing bestie, Alex, in this wonderful blog venture. Mine and Alex's styles are very different, so that should make this a very interesting blog for you all. It has been a while since I have blogged for SL, I miss it and am very much looking forward to this.   I decided to brighten up this slightly gloomy day in SL with this scrumptious bustier that I got from *Epic* in the Boobie Love Hunt. What makes it even better is that it is called Bombastic. How great is it to have a shirt with my last name?! *giggles* It comes with panties also, which I am not wearing because my skinny jeans from [Cynful] are just a tad too low, but oh, so sexy. I accessorized with my hot colorful heels from Hucci and then had fun adding jewelry that is just as colorful to match. I really enjoy the rose necklace and earrings from !! maci. I was able to wear one piece at a time and make each one a different color, so much fun.

Hi guys!
Allow me to introduce myself: My name is Alexxandra Sorbet, and I will bring you awesome fashion and beautiful pictures together with the gorgeous Kayla Bombastic!
I have been blogging about SL fashion before, but stopped for a long while, because I just wanted to take pretty pictures. So I decided that I can actually blog my pretty pictures, and not JUST fashion, but ofcourse I will add style cards in every single post I do!
This look was inspired by Kayla inviting me to go to a Second Life surfing contest to watch Johnny surf. I don't really get SL surfing (No, I still don't! LOL), but I had quite fun, and Johnny did great, I THINK! So here you go, a bikini that I wore to the surf contest, added some wings that's inspired by the surfing waves and some other accessories.
